1          Welcome

            The Chairperson opened the meeting with a prayer.

MOVED by Member BA Brady, seconded by Deputy Chairperson SP Henderson:  

That the Henderson-Massey Local Board:

a)         Accepts the apology from member Luke Wilson for absence.

CARRIED

4          Confirmation of Minutes

MOVED by Deputy Chairperson SP Henderson, seconded by Member MFP Chan:  

That the Henderson-Massey Local Board:

a)         Confirms the ordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Thursday, 17 April 2014, subject to the amendments noted, as a true and correct record.

Secretarial note:          Amendment include “Members Shane Henderson and Tracy Kirkley                                     voted against resolution 21 (b)” of the meeting held on Thursday, 17                                     April 2014.

7          Ward Councillor’s Update

The Henderson-Massey Local Board received update from Cr Linda Cooper on matters being addressed by Governing Body including Local Board funding, members of the Ethnic Peoples Advisory Panel, Seniors Advisory Panel and the Pacific Peoples Advisory Panel.`

Te Atatu RSA

 

Resolution number HM/2014/81

MOVED by Member WW Flaunty, seconded by Member BA Brady:  

That the Henderson-Massey Local Board:

a)     Receives the deputation from Bob Pettis from Te Atatu RSA with respect to the establishment of a naval memorial on Harbourview/Orangihina park.

b)     Requests staff to investigate opportunities to support this, and in particular establish if any linkages can be made to commemorative activities.

Secretarial note:          A copy of the tabled document (the West Auckland                                                  Community Safety Plan 2014/15) and presentation have been                                     placed on the file copy and can be found on the Auckland                                       Council website . Member Brady declared and interest in this                                     item and also abstained from voting on this item.

 

Resolution number HM/2014/82

MOVED by Member TJ Kirkley, seconded by Member MFP Chan:  

That the Henderson-Massey Local Board:

a)    Receives the deputation from Safer West Community Trust on their activities within the Henderson-Massey local board area.

b)    Commends Safer West Community Trust for the work they do in the Henderson-Massey area.
