1          Welcome/Prayer

 

The chairperson welcomed those present and member Will Flavell led the meeting in karakia.

There were no apologies.

 

3          Declaration of Interest

           

Member Shane Henderson declared interests in items 12 and 15.  

 

            Members are reminded of the need to be vigilant to stand aside from decision making when a conflict arises between their role as a member and any private or other external interest they might have.

Specifically members are asked to identify any new interests they have not previously disclosed, an interest that might be considered as a conflict of interest with a matter on the agenda.

Ward Councillors are updated the board on development opportunities for Henderson in relation to Panuku Development. They also provided updates on Auckland’s zero waste management strategy.

Ranui Action Project Funding Report 2015-2016 Final

 

Resolution number HM/2015/20

MOVED by Chairperson VS Neeson, seconded by Member BA Brady:  

That the Henderson-Massey Local Board:

a)      Approves funding of $40,000.00 for the Ranui Action Project to provide community development and safety initiatives in Ranui as shown in Table One, subject to subject to the finalisation of a funding agreement.

New Road Name Approval for the Residential Subdivision by Moay Holdings Limited at 82 Simpson Road, Ranui

 

Resolution number HM/2015/21

MOVED by Deputy Chairperson SP Henderson, seconded by Member TJ Kirkley:  

That the Henderson-Massey Local Board:

a)      Pursuant to Section 319(1)(j), of the Local Government Act 1974, considers for approval, the road name Dhaka Lane, proposed by the Applicant, for the new road created by way of subdivision at 82 Simpson Road, Ranui, while noting that Mohammed Lane and Royal Bengal Place also meet the road naming criteria.

Local board community arts programmes fund: Replacement of stolen tools from arts studio

 

Resolution number HM/2015/22

MOVED by Chairperson VS Neeson, seconded by Member TJ Kirkley:  

That the Henderson-Massey Local Board:

a)      Approves the funding of a $500 Mitre 10 gift card from the local board community arts programmes fund to replace stolen tools from the arts programme, previously located at Corban Estate Arts Centre.

b)      That Grant Wilson who facilitates the arts programme from Te Whanau o Waipareira Trust, be presented the gift card and purchase the tools on behalf of the studio group to support the continuation of creative expression from community members who find themselves homeless and living in Henderson.
