MOVED by Chairperson NJ Turnbull, seconded by Member DA Holm:  

That the Puketāpapa Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee accept the apology from Members Kumar and Doig for absence.

4          Confirmation of Minutes

 

This item was deferred to the next scheduled meeting on 17 February 2016.

 

That the Puketāpapa Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee confirm the ordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Wednesday, 30 September 2015, including the confidential attachments, as a true and correct record.

Special Exemption (Section 6) Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987

That the Swimming Pool Fencing Exemption – Special Exemption (Section 6) Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987 report be received.

Resolution number PKTSP/2015/6

MOVED by Chairperson NJ Turnbull, seconded by Member DA Holm:  

a)         That the Puketāpapa Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee receive the application from Bruce O’Brien, 1/18 Landscape Road, Mt Eden.

b)         That the Puketāpapa Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee deems that this application for special exemption under section 6 of the Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987 be GRANTED and that this exemption is personal to the owner of the property (Bruce O’Brien), so that on a sale of the property a new owner will need to apply for a new exemption.

c)         That the Puketāpapa Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee note that with regard to the particular characteristics of the property and the pool, the granting of an exemption does not significantly increase the danger to young children.

d)         That the Puketāpapa Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee note that this exemption is subject to the spa being locked at all times when not in use.

e)         That the Puketāpapa Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee require the applicant to comply with the conditions of NZS 8500:2006 (3.10) (Attachment A).

a)         That the Puketāpapa Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee receive the application from Adam Wild, 32 Princes Avenue, Mt Roskill.

b)         That the Puketāpapa Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee deems that this application for special exemption under section 6 of the Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987 be GRANTED and that this exemption is personal to the owner of the property (Adam Wild), so that on a sale of the property a new owner will need to apply for a new exemption.

c)         That the Puketāpapa Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee note that with regard to the particular characteristics of the property and the pool, the granting of an exemption does not significantly increase the danger to young children.
