MOVED by Chairperson AM Filipaina, seconded by Cr C Darby:  

That the Unitary Plan Committee:

a)      exclude the public from the following part(s) of the proceedings of this meeting.

b)      agree that Mel Chow, Align Consultants be permitted to remain for Confidential Item C1: Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan – Response to Submissions for Central and West Auckland Zoning and Update of Zoning Principles after the public has been excluded, because of their knowledge of Zoning Principles, which will help the Unitary Plan Committee in its decision-making.

The general subject of each matter to be considered while the public is excluded, the reason for passing this resolution in relation to each matter, and the specific grounds under section 48(1) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 for the passing of this resolution follows.

This resolution is made in reliance on section 48(1)(a) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 and the particular interest or interests protected by section 6 or section 7 of that Act which would be prejudiced by the holding of the whole or relevant part of the proceedings of the meeting in public, as follows:

Restatement

f)       notes that the report and Attachment A regarding - Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan submissions - Zoning for Central and West - will remain confidential until the conclusion of the Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan Hearings.

g)      notes that the committee decisions regarding broad percentage changes in the amount of land contained in each zone in central and west Auckland will be made publically available as soon as practical after the meeting.

h)      notes that the planning maps will be made publically available as soon as they are ready for inclusion in the council’s evidence.
