a)      adopts the work programme set out in Attachment A to the agenda report.

That the Unitary Plan Committee:

a)      exclude the public from the following part(s) of the proceedings of this meeting.

b)      agree that David Wren, Consultant at David Wren be permitted to remain for Confidential Item C1:Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan – Response to Submissions for North and South Auckland Zoning and Ross Cooper, Consultant at Tattico be permitted to remain for Confidential Item C2: Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan Submissions - Council position for Hearings – Precincts in St Heliers, St Lukes, Three Kings and for New Lynn and Westage and Michael Campbell of Campbell Brown be permitted to remain for Confidential Item C4: Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan – Council Position for Mediation and hearing: Quarry Zones after the public has been excluded, because of their knowledge of zoning, which will help the Unitary Plan Committee in its decision-making.

The general subject of each matter to be considered while the public is excluded, the reason for passing this resolution in relation to each matter, and the specific grounds under section 48(1) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 for the passing of this resolution follows.

This resolution is made in reliance on section 48(1)(a) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 and the particular interest or interests protected by section 6 or section 7 of that Act which would be prejudiced by the holding of the whole or relevant part of the proceedings of the meeting in public, as follows:

Restatement

e)      notes that the report and attachments regarding - Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan submissions - Zoning for North and South - will remain confidential until the conclusion of the Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan Hearings.

f)       notes that the committee decisions will be made publicly available concurrently with the submission of Council’s evidence to the Independent Hearings Panel in respect of Topic 081 – Rezonings and Precincts.

g)      notes that the committee decisions regarding broad percentage changes in the amount of land contained in each zone in north and south Auckland will be made publicly available as soon as practical after the meeting.

h)      notes that the planning maps will be made publically available in December 2015.
