Governance Director, chaired the meeting for items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. From
item 7 onwards, the newly elected Chairperson chaired the meeting. Grant

Election of Chairperson
|
|
|
Grant Taylor, Governance Director,
advised the Board that they must resolve which voting system they wished to
apply for the election of the chairperson.
Karen Lyons, Manager Local Board
Services, gave an explanation of the nomination process and the differences
between the two voting systems.
|
|
|
That the Kaipatiki Local Board elects a
Chairperson for the 2013-2016 political term, utilising System B of Schedule 7, Part 1, Clause 25 of the Local Government Act 2002.
|
|
|
The Governance Director called for
nominations for the position of Chairperson.
Member Waugh nominated Member McIntyre as
Chairperson. Member Hartley seconded the nomination.
|
|
|
Member McIntrye was declared elected as the Chairperson of the
Kaipātiki Local Board for the 2013-2016 political term.

The newly elected
Chairperson, Chairperson McIntyre, addressed the Board.
Councillor
Chris Darby and Councillor George Wood spoke at the invitation of the
Chairperson.

Chairperson

The
Chairperson called for nominations for the position of Deputy Chairperson.
Member Hills nominated Member Hartley as
Deputy Chairperson. Member Waugh seconded the nomination.

Member Hartley was declared elected as the Deputy Chairperson of
the Kaipātiki Local Board.

declared the meeting closed.
