Glen Eden Tennis Club - Raema Inglis and Anne Nightingale Addressed the board on the impact of Watercare’s proposal for a wastewater tank at Harold Moody Park, in particular the loss of car parking during construction. |
|

Glenora Rugby League Club - Wendy Pafalani Addressed the board on the impact of Watercare’s proposal for a wastewater tank at Harold Moody Park, and asked that other options be considered such as vacant land at 40 Glendale Road. |

Glenora Softball Club - Carissa Kaina Addressed the board on the impact of Watercare’s proposal for a wastewater tank at Harold Moody Park which would be directly adjacent to the softball diamond used by their kids. |

Harold Moody Park Hall Committee - Gary Marshall Addressed the board on the impact of Watercare’s proposal for a wastewater tank at Harold Moody Park, in particular a large senior citizens group who meet every Monday. |

Atkinson Road Resident - Brigitte Harre Requested immediate removal or remediation of speed cushions to stop further vibration and building damage. |

Henderson Valley R&R - David Spriggs & Ross Wiseman A resident's petition was tabled regarding a pedestrian walkway adjacent to Mountain Road. |

Titirangi Residents & Ratepayers - Mels Barton Several issues were raised including more kauri dieback hygiene stations and public education for improved use, lagoon water quality, and continued Auckland Transport consultation with R&R groups including a heritage area approach to tree trimming, road safety and weeds on berms. |

Auckland Transport Update Report – Waitakere Ranges Local Board |

Resolution number WTK/2013/232 MOVED by Chairperson S Coney, seconded by Member NR Henderson: That the Waitakere Ranges Local Board: a) Receives the Auckland Transport Report. b) Notes that with regard to workshops undertaken with Auckland Transport, the Board advised that: in the case of the Piha Road Speed Limit and Guard Rail Consultation, it had concerns about the proliferation of inappropriate infrastructure in the road corridor in the Heritage Area and believed that the speed limit on Piha Road should be 50 kph from the Karekare turnoff towards Piha at all times; it had concerns about vegetation removal and believed that guidelines about this should be incorporated into the Design Guidelines being developed by Auckland Transport for the Waitakere Ranges Heritage Area; it had no concerns regarding the Titirangi Road Zebra Crossing. |

Urgent Decision Process for the Waitakere Ranges Local Board |

Resolution number WTK/2013/239 MOVED by Member GB Presland, seconded by Member S Toms: That the Waitakere Ranges Local Board a) Adopts the urgent decision process for matters that require a decision where it is not practical to call the full board together and meet the requirement of a quorum. b) Delegates authority to the Chair and Deputy Chair or any person acting in these roles to make an urgent decision on behalf of the local board. c) Requests that all urgent decisions be reported to the next ordinary meeting of the local board.

Resolution number WTK/2013/241 MOVED by Chairperson S Coney, seconded by Member SR Tollestrup: That the Waitakere Ranges Local Board: a) Agrees to re-instate the Manukau Harbour Forum joint committee with the Franklin, Mangere-Otahuhu, Manurewa, Maungakiekie-Tamaki, Otara-Papatoetoe, Papakura, Puketapapa, and Whau Local Boards for the 2013/16 electoral term. b) Nominates Saffron Toms as lead local board representative, and Neil Henderson as an alternate local board representative, to the Manukau Harbour Forum to bring the local board view on any decisions made by the Manukau Harbour Forum within its Terms of Reference.

Resolution number WTK/2013/242 MOVED by Chairperson S Coney, seconded by Member SR Tollestrup: That the Waitakere Ranges Local Board: a) Notes the report from the Governing Body:
b) Requests that a system be instituted to ensure that Local Boards are informed of items on the agendas of committees of the Governing Body in which they will have an interest specific to their Local Board area. c) Endorses the tabled letter from the Waitakere Ranges Local Board Chair, Sandra Coney, to Simon Bridges, Minister of Energy and Resources, expressing the Board’s opposition to the proposal to offer areas adjoining the Local Board area for petroleum exploration permits in 2014.
