Note: The Chief Executive chaired the meeting for
items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. From item 7 onwards, the newly elected Chairperson
chaired the meeting. The Chief Executive administered the members’
declarations.

Election of Chairperson

The Chief Executive advised the Board that
they must resolve which voting system they wished to apply for the election
of the chairperson.

MOVED by Member CP Dempsey, seconded by Member RAH Thomas:
That the
Waitemata Local Board elects a chairperson for the 2013-2016
political term, utilising System B of Schedule
7, Part 1, Clause 25 of the Local Government Act 2002.

Executive called for nominations for the position of Chairperson.
Member Coom nominated Member Chambers as
Chairperson. Member Tava seconded the nomination.

Member Chambers was declared elected as the Chairperson of the Waitemata Local Board for the 2013-2016 political
term.

The Chairperson made
his declaration pursuant to Schedule 7, clause 14 of the Local Government Act
2002 and assumed the Chair.

Election of Deputy
Chairperson

The Chairperson advised the Board that
they must resolve which voting system they wished to apply for the election
of the deputy chairperson.

That the Waitemata Local Board elects
a Deputy Chairperson for the 2013-2016 political term, utilising System A of Schedule 7, part 1, clause 25 of the Local Government Act 2002.

The Chairperson called for nominations

Member Chambers nominated Member Coom as
Deputy Chairperson. Member Yates seconded the nomination.

Member Coom was declared elected as the Deputy Chairperson of the Waitemata Local Board for the 2013-2016 political
term.

Secretarial Note: Rewi Spraggon, iwi representative, closed the meeting in prayer
and blessed the food. Students from ACG Senior College provided a short
bracket of entertainment.
7.50 pm The
Chairperson thanked Members for their attendance and attention to business and
declared the meeting closed.
