1 Introduction of all members

Election of a Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson

Resolution number HGF/2013/34

MOVED by Cr Cashmore, seconded by Member Warbrick:

That the Hauraki Gulf Forum:

a) appoint Mayor John Tregidga as Chairperson of the Forum for the remainder of the local government electoral term.

b) appoint Member Liane Ngamane as Deputy Chairperson of the Forum for the remainder of the local government electoral term.

Cr Chris Fletcher requested that the meeting acknowledge the passing of John Hogan.

MOVED by Mayor Tregidga, seconded by Cr Buckley:

That the Hauraki Gulf Forum:

a) confirm its meeting dates for 2014 as Monday 24 March, Monday 9 June, Monday 22 September and Monday 8 December.

10	Hauraki Gulf Forum Orientation
	Dr Graeme Campbell, Liane Ngamane, Glenn Webber, Raewyn Peart and Tim Higham were present to address the item. PowerPoint presentations were given in support of the item, copies of which are attached to the official copy of these minutes and are available on the Auckland Council website.
	Cr Chris Fletcher left the meeting at 2:00pm to return to a meeting of the Auckland Transport Board. Cr Mike Lee left the meeting at 2:30pm. Cr Bill Cashmore left the meeting at 3:25pm.
	MOVED by Mayor Tregidga, seconded by Cr Buckley: That the Hauraki Gulf Forum: a) receive the report. b) thank Dr Graeme Campbell, Liane Ngamane, Glenn Webber, Raewyn Peart and Tim Higham for their presentations.

a) agree that 12: Hauraki Gulf Marine Spatial Plan Update be accorded precedence at this time.

Hauraki Gulf Forum Manager's Report

That the Hauraki Gulf Forum:

a) confirm an invitation to host the March 2014 meeting on Kawau Island by the Kawau Island Resident and Ratepayers Association be accepted and a full day allocated for this purpose.

Hauraki Gulf Marine Spatial Plan Update

Nick Main, Independent Chair of the Hauraki Gulf Marine Spatial Plan Stakeholder Working Group, was in attendance and spoke in support of this item.

Mayor John Tregidga left the meeting at 4:05pm. Deputy Chairperson Liane Ngamane assumed the chair.

Cr Chris Darby left the meeting at 4:07pm.
