Richard Woods, Manager Planning & Intelligence provided a presentation on Auckland’s Tsunami risk.

Resolution number CIV/2014/2 MOVED by Chairperson SL Stewart, seconded by Deputy Chairperson WB Cashmore: That the Civil Defence and Emergency Management Group Committee: a) receive the Update of Auckland’s Tsunami Risk report and supporting presentation. b) receive a briefing at the next meeting on the hazards that Auckland faces and the work being done to mitigate the risk.

Resolution number CIV/2014/3 MOVED by Chairperson SL Stewart, seconded by Deputy Chairperson WB Cashmore: That the Civil Defence and Emergency Management Group Committee: a) receive the Civil Defence and Emergency Management Group Committee work programme report. b) request that the Coordinating Executive Group (CEG) organise a councillors’ workshop to allow councillors to get a better understanding of the 2015/2015 Work Programme, including priorities, projects and budgets. c) request that the Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Management provide an item to each meeting on the work being done nationally.
