1 Apologies

2 Declaration of Interest
Members are reminded of the need to be vigilant to stand aside from decision making when a conflict arises between their role as a member and any private or other external interest they might have.

3 Confirmation of Minutes
Resolution number YOU/2014/21 MOVED by Member F Apulu, seconded by Member M Mafile'o: That the Youth Advisory Panel: a) confirm the ordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Monday, 14 April 2014, as a true and correct record.

Resolution number YOU/2014/22 MOVED by Member F Apulu, seconded by Member M Townley: That the Youth Advisory Panel: a) receive the Fees Framework and Expenses Policy for Appointed Members and Code of Conduct for Members Appointed to Advisory Panels. b) thank Democracy Services staff for their input into the Fees Framework and Expense Policy for Appointed Members. |

c) request a review of the determination of the scoring of Fees Framework criteria for Youth Advisory Panel. |

Resolution number YOU/2014/24 MOVED by Member F Apulu, seconded by Member T Matthews: That the Youth Advisory Panel: a) request that council staff will hold cluster workshops before the next Youth Advisory Panel July meeting b) delegate the responsibility to provide feedback on the draft Local Alcohol Policy to the Health and Welfare Sub-committees c) endorse feedback from the Health and Welfare subcommittees on the draft Auckland Council Local Alcohol Policy at the 21 July 2014 Youth Advisory Panel Meeting.

Resolution number YOU/2014/25 MOVED by Member J Mareroa, seconded by Member M Stininato: That the Youth Advisory Panel: a) endorse this video challenge and assist with promoting the challenge b) endorse the challenge question to be asked c) agree to collaborate with the Wellington Youth Council on their video challenge and any social media opportunities to promote the videos. d) assign Nortessa Montgomerie, Youth Advisory Panel member to work with the project team on the delivery of the project.

Resolution number YOU/2014/26 MOVED by Member F Apulu, seconded by Member J Mareroa: That the Youth Advisory Panel: a) request council staff to hold cluster workshops with youth councils to feedback to the Youth Advisory Panel July meeting b) request that this report is forwarded to the chairs of the local board-based youth groups for their consideration.

Resolution number YOU/2014/27 MOVED by Member F Apulu, seconded by Member S Steele: That the Youth Advisory Panel: a) note the updates from the sub-committees. b) receive the letter from John Loof, Chief Executive, Cancer Society Auckland and congratulate Agnes Wong for her contribution to the council submission on the Smoke-free Environments Amendment Bill. c) delegate Agnes Wong as spokesperson on behalf of the Youth Advisory Policy on the Smokefree Auckland Council policy. d) communicate the updates to local youth boards and caucuses where appropriate.
