Resolution number CIV/2014/14 MOVED by Chairperson SL Stewart, seconded by Deputy Chairperson WB Cashmore: That the Civil Defence and Emergency Management Group Committee: a) receive the presentation on the power outages by Simon McKenzie, Vector CEO and Les Parker, Group Manager Network Operations, Vector. b) request that Auckland Council’s thanks be passed on to Vector’s linesmen and women for the vital work that they carry out during emergencies.

Resolution number CIV/2014/15 MOVED by Chairperson SL Stewart, seconded by Cr GS Wood: That the Civil Defence and Emergency Management Group Committee: a) agree that the Civil Defence and Emergency Management Group recommend to Auckland Transport and the New Zealand Transport Agency that an agreement be formed with Vector and other critical engineering lifelines for use of bus and T2 lanes under agreed circumstances. b) note that further work is to be completed and reported to the next committee meeting regarding whether current legislation can be instituted. |
