Resolution number COM/2014/27 MOVED by Chairperson CM Casey, seconded by Cr WD Walker: That the Community Development and Safety Committee : a) thank Diane Robertson and the Auckland City Mission for their presentation and work on the Family 100 project. b) endorse the empathy tool ‘Demonstrating the Complexities of Being Poor’ as a resource for Auckland Council staff when working with families, particularly those living in poverty.

Resolution number COM/2014/29 MOVED by Chairperson CM Casey, seconded by Cr GS Wood: That the Community Development and Safety Committee: a) note the work of the Guiding Coalition b) endorse the proposal for local board members to attend a workshop to discuss the child injury data with the regional injury prevention team. c) forward the report findings to Auckland Transport and request Auckland Council Strategic Planning to look closely at the design of public roads and how driveways are designed and link to roads to ensure good practice and principles to prevent child injuries.

Resolution number COM/2014/31 MOVED by Cr GS Wood, seconded by Cr WD Walker: That the Community Development and Safety Committee: a) forward the report to all local boards with a suggestion that local boards workshop the issues in the report. b) request a report on findings from local board workshops later in 2014.

The Auckland Regional Partnership Agreement between the Auckland Council group and Immigration New Zealand |

Resolution number COM/2014/32 MOVED by Chairperson CM Casey, seconded by Cr GS Wood: That the Community Development and Safety Committee: a) note that Auckland Council group officers are working with Immigration New Zealand to finalise the Auckland Regional Partnership Agreement b) note the Auckland Regional Settlement Strategy community and economic action plan reports and their recommendations.
