Members are reminded of the need to be vigilant to stand aside from decision making when a conflict arises between their role as a member and any private or other external interest they might have.

3          Confirmation of Minutes

Pacific Peoples Advisory Panel - Draft Work Programme

 

Resolution number PAC/2014/14

MOVED by Chairperson  Aiolupotea-aiono :  

That the Pacific Peoples Advisory Panel:

a)      discuss details of the work programme.

b)      confirm its draft work programme for recommendation to the Regional Strategy and Policy Committee.

c)      agree that the Lead Officer Support be authorised to make any minor edits or amendments to the draft work programme to reflect decisions made by the Panel during the discussion.

d)      agree to add arts and culture as a core programme, family and violence under  social development and other sub-programmes raised in the meeting to the draft work programme.

International Relations - Overview and Update

 

Officers presented a power point presentation in support of the report.

 

A PowerPoint presentation was provided a copy has been placed on the official minutes and is available as a minutes attachment.

a)      provide feedback on the draft principles and approach to policy development

b)      provide feedback on how the council could further enable and encourage people from different pacific groups to engage with Auckland Council.

Draft Community Facilities Network Plan

a)      note the common themes arising from the draft local board plans and considers how this might relate to the panel’s work programme.

b)      note that the draft 2014 local board plans are available for feedback and considers options for providing feedback.
