2          Confirmation of Minutes

That the Rural Advisory Panel:

a)         confirm the ordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Friday, 7 November 2014, as a true and correct record.

Revaluations - Rates Implications

 

Andrew Duncan, Manager Financial Policy, provided a PowerPoint presentation, a copy has been placed on the official minutes and is available on the Auckland Council website as a minutes attachment.

Regional Pest Management Plan

 

Nick Waipara, Biosecurity Principal Advisor, provided a PowerPoint presentation, a copy has been placed on the official minutes and is available as a minutes attachment.

 

Gael Ogilvie, Manager Environmental Services noted that the new weed management policy would be provided to the panel for its feedback in the new year.

Equestrian Facility Plan

 

Sarah Mossman, Paul Clark, Rob Cairns, Jo Wiggins (contractor) and Jim Ellis, former CEO of Equestrian Sport Horse NZ, were present. A copy of the Auckland Equestrian Facility Plan and a PowerPoint presentation were provided. Copies have been placed on the official minutes and are available on the Auckland Council website as a minutes attachment.

 

It was agreed that Cr Cashmore, Viv Dostine and Geoff Smith would meet as a working party to discuss this issue further in the new year.

5          General Business

 

2015 RAP meeting schedule

First meeting - Friday 6 March, 2015, proposed six-weekly cycle for all panels for 2015/16.

 

Chairperson WB Cashmore vacated the chair and left the meeting at 3.06pm.

Deputy Chairperson AQ Cole assumed the chair.

Chairperson WB Cashmore returned to the meeting and resumed the chair at 3.09pm.

 

Kaipara River issues – Wendy Clark

Wendy Clark updated the panel regarding this issue and further discussion took place.

 


 

Update on other bylaws, status of open fires bylaw - Bronwen Turner

Cr Cashmore briefly updated the panel. The panel was advised that information regarding bylaws is available on the Auckland Council website.                                                                     

           

           

           

 

 

 

 

3.20 pm                                              The Chairperson thanked Members for their attendance and attention to business and declared the meeting closed.
