Maharjan - New Zealand Nepalese Association (NZNA)

- Introduced NZNA to the board and requested funding support to
organise a cultural programme to be organised in April 2015 to celebrate
the Nepalese new year. The event will be
organised in collaboration with other Nepalese organisations and will
involve multicultural performances by various ethnic communities.
- A brief introduction to NZNA and Ramailo Saanjh along with
budget estimate for the event was tabled at the meeting. A copy of
tabled document has been placed on file copy of minutes and can be
viewed on the Auckland Council website.

That the Whau Local Board:
a) Allocates
up to $4,700.00 to the New Lynn Tongan Methodist Church from unallocated opex
as a contribution to costs associated with a community meeting.
b) Requests
Auckland Council Property to immediately action outstanding property matters
of outdated sign in Blockhouse Bay Shopping area and installation of veranda
fascia sign at the Whau Local Board office.

Renewal and variation of community lease to Portage Ceramics
Trust, 8 Ambrico Place, New Lynn

That the Whau Local
Board:
a) Approves
a variation to the renewal of lease to correct the name from Portage Ceramics
Trust Incorporated to Portage Ceramics Trust;
b) Approves
the renewal of lease to Portage Ceramics Trust on the following terms and
conditions:
i) Term: 5
years commencing 12 March 2015;
ii) Rent:
$2400.00 plus GST per annum;
iii) All other terms and conditions as contained in the existing lease
dated 22 September 2010 excluding this right of renewal.

$3000.00 from the Whau Local Events budget to Te Whanau o Waipareira Trust,
