That the Albert-Eden Local Board Grants Committee:

a)      receives the Albert-Eden Local Board Discretionary Community Funding - Round Two 2014/2015 report.

b)      approves the following applications for funding from round two of the Albert-Eden Local Board Discretionary Community Fund 2014/2015:

Auckland Young Women’s Christian Association T/A YWCA Auckland	Protect Self-Protection "Safe for Life" Workshop.	$1,460	Decline as benefit to local board is not clear and noting workshop to be held during school time.
Friends of Oakley Creek Te Auaunga Incorporated	Oakley Creek Restoration Project.	$6,360	Decline as the application is for operational costs, which are not usually funded under this scheme.
Panacea Arts Charitable Trust (Spark Centre of Creative Development)	Leading a Creative Life.	$1,745	Decline noting the group has already received funding support from the Board last financial year.
Dress for Success Auckland	DFSA Resource Centre.	$4,508	Decline noting the group has recently received significant ($19,200) funding from Auckland Council, and due to the project’s minimal benefit to the local board area (20%).
New Zealand Centre for Gifted Education Limited	MindPlus Auckland Central Scholarships and Subsidies.	$7,000	Decline as the fund is over-subscribed and other applications demonstrated more local benefit.
Touch Compass Dance Trust	Encompass Youth and Community, and Zumba Inclusive Dance Classes.	$34,713	Decline as the application is for operational costs, and the group has recently received significant funding from other council funding schemes as well as Creative NZ.
Dance Therapy NZ	STARS Dance Movement Therapy: Mt Albert.	$4,973	Decline as the fund is over-subscribed and the group has already recently received funding from the local board via the Albert-Eden Local Board funded ‘Arts for Mums 2013/2014’ project.
Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust	BSCT Ethnic Play Group.	$18,000	Decline due to ownership issues over installation of outdoor play area.
The Point Chevalier Memorial RSA Incorporated	WW100 ANZAC day commemorations.	$8,000	Decline due to the Board noting that the group will receive funding from the Albert-Eden Local Board Events portfolio.
