The Kaipātiki Local Board wishes to acknowledge the passing
of Peter Arthur Trevor Thomas on 20 February 2015.
Peter was elected to Birkenhead City Council 1980 - 1983; and was elected
again to Birkenhead City Council in 1986 - 1989 as Deputy Mayor.
He was elected
to North Shore City Council in 1989 – 1992 and was Deputy Mayor.
Peter also served on the Birkenhead Licensing Trust for several terms.
Peter made a huge contribution to St John’s Headquarters in Shea Terrace and
later in Apollo Drive. Along with numerous community activities, including 35
years’ service with Birkenhead Rotary.
The Deputy Chairperson invited those present to pay
their respects with a minute’s silence.
