introduced Dayspring Trust to the board and made a presentation.

WISE Collective made a presentation to the board on benefits of the New Lynn
Night Market to the community and future of night market.

Tupe Esau Taisalika – Sport Pasefika
- Requested funding support from the board for their 2015
sporting programmes, activities and tournaments along with funding for
an old warehouse turned to sports centre for Whau.
Sisterhood
NZ - Leva Latu Faafua
- Requested funding support from the board towards Family Day
2015 event which is being organised for 28th March by the
group.
Mike
Brennan
- Raised concerns regarding various topics including numbers of
ratable properties in Whau, rates, name of the board as ‘Whau Local Board’
and 3rd reading of empowering act.

to the following staff the power and responsibility to hear from the public
on the local board agreement through “spoken interaction/NZ sign language
interaction” at the “Have Your Say” events:
i) Tier
2 staff
ii) Tier
3 staff
iii) Local
Board Relationship Manager, Local Board Senior Advisor, Local Board Advisor
iv) any
additional staff approved by the Chair.
b) Notes
that a “Have Your Say” event is scheduled to be held in the Whau local board
area on Thursday 26 February, at Bay Olympic in New Lynn and that
pre-registration is preferred.

Local board input on the draft Regional Land Transport Plan
2015-2025

That the
Whau Local Board:
a) Agrees
to provide feedback to Auckland Transport on the draft Regional Land
Transport Plan 2015-2025 by:
i) speaking
at the Auckland Transport Transport Stakeholder event
ii) providing
written feedback to Auckland Transport by 16 March 2015.
b) Delegates
to the Chairperson, Catherine Farmer and the transport portfolio holder,
Susan Zhu the power to speak on behalf of the board at the Auckland Transport’s
Transport Stakeholder event.
c) Delegates to Chairperson, Catherine Farmer and transport portfolio
holder, Susan Zhu the coordination and finalisation of the board’s written
feedback to Auckland Transport on the draft Regional Land Transport Plan
2015-2025.

That the
Whau Local Board:
a) Receives
the Performance Report for the Whau Local Board for the period ended December
2014.
b) Notes the
increase in costs due to additional engineering requirements and approves an
additional $16,000 towards the New Lynn Gateway Project funded from the Local
Board Discretionary Fund (Capex) budget line.
