Resolution number WHSP/2015/1 MOVED by Member D Macdonald, seconded by Chairperson S Zhu: That the Whau Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee: a) Confirms the ordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Thursday, 28 August 2014, including the confidential section, as a true and correct record.

Resolution number WHSP/2015/3 MOVED by Chairperson S Zhu, seconded by Member D Macdonald: That the Whau Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee: a) Excludes the public from the following part(s) of the proceedings of this meeting. The general subject of each matter to be considered while the public is excluded, the reason for passing this resolution in relation to each matter, and the specific grounds under section 48(1) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 for the passing of this resolution follows.
This resolution is made in reliance on section 48(1)(a) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 and the particular interest or interests protected by section 6 or section 7 of that Act which would be prejudiced by the holding of the whole or relevant part of the proceedings of the meeting in public, as follows:

Resolution number WHSP/2015/1 MOVED by Member D Macdonald, seconded by Chairperson S Zhu: That the Whau Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee: a) Receives the applications by: i) Geoff Hamer – 58 McFadzean Drive, Blockhouse Bay ii) Trudy Wyatt – 43 Tahi Terrace, New Lynn b) Grants the application from Geoff Hamer – 58 McFadzean Drive, Blockhouse Bay for special exemption from the requirement of the Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987, with the condition that clause (a - k) is met at all times; that the spa pool remain in the same location as on the day of inspection, and is granted to current owner and notes that the steps must be kept 1.2mt from spa when its not in use. c) Grants the application from Trudy Wyatt – 43 Tahi Terrace, New Lynn for special exemption from the requirement of the Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987, with the condition that clause (a - k) is met at all times; that the spa pool remain in the same location as on the day of inspection, and is granted to current owner. d) Defers the application by Brian & Lynda Chase – 1 Links Road, New Lynn to next meeting of this committee. e) Agrees that the confidential attachments considered as part of the application remain confidential and not be restated in the open section to ensure security to property is maintained. f) Agrees to restate resolutions a) to f) in the open section of the minutes.
