The Chairperson opened the meeting.

 

2          Apologies

 

There were no apologies.

 

3          Members were reminded of the need to be vigilant to stand aside from decision making when a conflict arises between their role as a member and any private or other external interest they might have.

Specifically members are asked to identify any new interests they have not previously disclosed, an interest that might be considered as a conflict of interest with a matter on the agenda.

At its meeting on 28 November 2013, the Waitakere Ranges Local Board resolved (resolution number WTK/2010/5) to record any possible conflicts of interest in a register.

That the Waitākere Ranges Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee:

a)      Notes that the report be received and the applications by owner/occupier of:

i)       91 Wood Bay Road, Titirangi

ii)      22 Ngaio Road, Titirangi

iii)     244 Bethells Road, Bethells Beach

iv)     915 West Coast Road, Waiatarua

That the Waitākere Ranges Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee:

 

b)        Grants the application from 91 Wood Bay Road, Titirangi for special exemption from    the requirements of the Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987, under the condition             that clauses (a-k) are met at all times; that the spa pool remain in the same location            as on the day of inspection, and is granted to current owner.

 

c)         Grants the application from 22 Ngaio Road, Titirangi for special exemption from the requirements of the Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987, under the condition that clauses (a-k) are met at all times; that the spa pool remain in the same location as on the day of inspection, and is granted to current owner.

 

 

d)        Grants the application from 244 Bethells Road, Bethells Beach for special exemption from the requirements of the Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987, under the condition that clauses (a-k) are met at all times; that the spa pool remain in the same location as on the day of inspection, and is granted to current owner.

 

e)         Grants the application from 915 West Coast Road, Waiatarua for special exemption from the requirements of the Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987, under the condition that clauses (a-k) are met at all times; that the chain has been tightened to prevent the lid opening more than a 100mm and this has been confirmed by the Auckland Council Pool Fencing Inspector; that the spa pool remain in the same location as on the day of inspection, and is granted to current owner.
