Mike Mills, was in attendance to present to the Community Development and Safety Committee regarding Safe Communities.
A PowerPoint presentation was provided. A copy has been placed on the official minutes and is available on the Auckland Council website as a minutes attachment.

Resolution number COM/2015/32 MOVED by Chairperson CM Casey, seconded by Cr AM Filipaina: That the Community Development and Safety Committee: a) receive the presentation from Mike Mills, Community Engagement Advisor Safe Cities Federation New Zealand (SCFNZ) regarding World Health Organisation (WHO) Safe Community Organisation safety accreditation for Auckland. b) write a letter of support to Safe Communities Foundation NZ for Auckland c) request senior Auckland Council staff to work with SCFNZ advisors to investigate and report back a plan of accreditation and that Council staff report this plan back to the Community Development and Safety Committee d) thank Mike Mills for his presentation.
