That the Pacific Peoples Advisory Panel:

a)         accept the apologies ‘Ofeina Manuel-Barbarich for lateness and Richard Pamatatau and Tevita Funaki for absence.

Members are reminded of the need to be vigilant to stand aside from decision making when a conflict arises between their role as a member and any private or other external interest they might have.

3          Confirmation of Minutes

That the Pacific Peoples Advisory Panel:

a)         confirm the ordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Wednesday, 8 April 2015, as a true and correct record.

Multi-sector action plan to prevent family, whanau and sexual violence in Auckland

That the Pacific Peoples Advisory Panel:

a)      provide verbal feedback on the multi-sector action plan to prevent family, whānau and sexual violence in Auckland.

Empowered Communities Approach report

 

A PowerPoint presentation was provided. A copy has been placed on the official minutes and is available on the Auckland Council website as a minutes attachment.

Pacific Peoples Advisory Panel - Work programme Update

That the Pacific Peoples Advisory Panel:

a)      receive the Pacific Peoples Advisory Panel work programme update – 15 May 2015.

b)      appoint member Chair, Sefita Hao’uli, Rev Tevita Finau and ‘Ofeina Manuel-Barbarich to work with staff to progress the summit and communicate via email to other members who may be interested to assist.
