2 Declaration of Interest
Members are reminded of the need to be vigilant to stand aside from decision making when a conflict arises between their role as a member and any private or other external interest they might have.

3 Confirmation of Minutes

Resolution number YOU/2015/22 MOVED by Chairperson F Apulu, seconded by Member J Auva'a: That the Youth Advisory Panel: a) note the co-option of Caroline Paepae as the representative for Māngere-Ōtāhuhu until January 2016. b) note that Caroline Paepae will turn 25 in January, and that the Ōtāhuhu Māngere Youth Group will undertake another co-opt process for the remainder of the term to June 2016. c) note that a copy of this report has been forwarded to the Mayor for his endorsement.

Multi-sector action plan to prevent family, whanau and sexual violence in Auckland |

Kelly Maung was in attendance to present to the Youth Advisory Panel regarding family, whānau and sexual violence in Auckland. A PowerPoint presentation was provided. A copy has been placed on the official minutes and is available on the Auckland Council website as a minutes attachment. |

Resolution number YOU/2015/24 MOVED by Chairperson F Apulu, seconded by Member M Liu: That the Youth Advisory Panel: a) thank the working party/sub-committee leads for their updates. b) forward sub-committee/working party updates for the attention of respective local youth voice mechanisms. c) thank Deputy Chairperson M Mafile'o for facilitating the Homegrown Showcase evening. d) thank Sarah Finlay, and Shruthi Vijayakumar (Inspiring Stories Trust) for their outstanding support during Homegrown. e) thank the Homegrown Youth Change-makers Project working group (Members T Appanna, D Goh, T Matthews and M Roche, as well as Sharon Ryan, Keniel Yao, Caitlin Smart, Michael Madziva) for leading and driving the Homegrown project. Rangatahi Roopu Strategic Relationship Working Group f) recognise the Rangatahi Roopu as a strategic partner in the implementation of I am Auckland. g) request a report from council staff investigating the practicalities surrounding the addition of two positions on the Youth Advisory Panel, specifically allocated to Rangatahi Roopu representatives.
