Dave Moran, George Bellew and John Pettit were in attendance to present to the Heritage Advisory Panel regarding the work of the New Zealand Underwater Heritage Group. |

Resolution number HER/2015/38 MOVED by Member E Aitken-Rose, seconded by Member A McEwan: That the Heritage Advisory Panel: a) receive the update by Noel Reardon, Heritage Manager, on current heritage projects and issues. |

Resolution number HER/2015/39 MOVED by Member E Aitken-Rose, seconded by Member A McEwan: That the Heritage Advisory Panel: b) receive the presentation by Rob Enright for the Character Coalition c) acknowledge that the Panel has been kept well informed on Auckland Council’s approach to the pre-1944 and Special Character topics of the Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan and has supported this approach
d) recommend to Auckland Council that it steadfastly maintains its principled stance in relation to the pre-1944 and Special Character topics of the Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan and the evidence for topics 032 and 079 e) recommend to Auckland Council that it provides the results of the survey work to submitters for topics 032 and 079 of the Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan in advance of the date of the deadline for submitting evidence. |

Resolution number HER/2015/40 MOVED by Member D Veart, seconded by Member J Matthews: That the Heritage Advisory Panel: a) receive the updates by panel Chairperson Councillor Mike Lee, and members Dr Ann McEwan and Lorraine Wilson b) request the Chair to write to Ian Reid, Strategic Development Manager, Property Department, Auckland Council regarding the Panel’s concerns about Auckland Council plans for heritage toilets c) congratulate member Dr Ann McEwan and DOCOMOMO NZ on their work. |

Resolution number HER/2015/41 MOVED by Chairperson ME Lee, seconded by Member D Veart: That the Heritage Advisory Panel: a) receive the correspondence from the Auckland Council Housing Project Office to the Save Our Unique Landscape group, following the recommendation of the Panel on 16 June 2015 b) request a presentation on the Ihumatao Special Housing Area, and Special Housing Areas generally, to the Heritage Advisory Panel and the Save Our Unique Landscape group and other interested parties as soon as practicable, preferably a special meeting, to take place near the Ihumatao Special Housing Area region. |
