Resolution number OR/2015/80 MOVED by Chairperson DEC Simpson, seconded by Member M Thomas: That the Orākei Local Board: a) notes the following regarding the consultation process on the draft Community Facilities Network Plan: i. It is difficult to see what changes have been made to the draft Community Facilities Network Plan in response to Orākei Local Board’s feedback and other local boards’ feedback. ii. Despite concerns raised by the Orākei Local Board in workshops, advocacy to the governing body and feedback from the community, the Meadowbank Community Centre upgrade has been pushed back in the 2015 – 2025 Long-term Plan. iii. Reiterates that whilst priority has been given to growth areas, there is still a need to upgrade community facilities in long established areas such as Orākei. b) notes that the draft Community Facilities Network Plan and associated draft Community Network Action Plan appear to be improvements on previous asset management processes in that they provide much needed transparency for the Council’s decision making and management of community facilities. c) requests that its views be reported in full to the Regional Strategy and Policy Committee in August 2015. |
