That the Unitary Plan Committee:

a)             consider an extraordinary item regarding Auckland Council’s submission on the Proposed Unitary Plan – Character Overlay and the Historic Heritage Overlay/Schedule at item 9.1 of this agenda:

i)       the reason the matter was not on the agenda is that the matter came to our attention after the close of the agenda

ii)      the reason for urgency being that the council’s evidence is being filed on 14 August 2015.

9.1

Extraordinary Business - Auckland Council's submission on the Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan - Character Overlay and the Historic Heritage Overlay/Schedule

MOVED by Cr C Darby, seconded by Chairperson AM Filipaina:  

That the Unitary Plan Committee:

a)            support the withdrawal of the points in the council’s submission on the Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan that seek the removal of 51-53 Albert Street, 33 Wyndham Street, 48-52 Wyndham Street and 2 Drake Street from the Historic Heritage Schedules

b)            support the withdrawal of the council’s submission on the Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan relating to the addition of the interior of the Brooks Homestead at Awhitu Regional Park to the exclusions column in the Historic Heritage Schedules (i.e the interior should be protected under the Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan).

That the Unitary Plan Committee:

a)      exclude the public from the following part(s) of the proceedings of this meeting.

The general subject of each matter to be considered while the public is excluded, the reason for passing this resolution in relation to each matter, and the specific grounds under section 48(1) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 for the passing of this resolution follows.

This resolution is made in reliance on section 48(1)(a) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 and the particular interest or interests protected by section 6 or section 7 of that Act which would be prejudiced by the holding of the whole or relevant part of the proceedings of the meeting in public, as follows:
