Resolution number HGF/2015/19 MOVED by Chair J Tregidga, seconded by Cr J Thomas: That the Hauraki Gulf Forum: a) accept the apologies from Lucy Steel, Paul Majurey, and Cr Rob McGuire for absence, and Deputy Chairperson Liane Ngamane, Cr Christine Fletcher, and Cr Wayne Walker for lateness. |

Resolution number HGF/2015/25 MOVED by Cr C Darby, seconded by Cr CE Fletcher: That the Hauraki Gulf Forum: a) applaud the Waiheke Local Board on the initiation and quality of the Marine protected areas and reserves around the Gulf islands survey. b) note consistency with the Forum’s strategic response framework - which identifies a network of regenerating marine areas as one of five elements anticipated within a successful management response. c) commend the survey for consideration by the Sea Change Tai Timu Tai Pari marine spatial plan process, to assist determination of marine protected areas (including ‘no take’ marine reserves) within the Gulf. d) note the survey did not specifically seek mana whenua views. |
