Members are reminded of the need to be vigilant to stand aside from decision making when a conflict arises between their role as a member and any private or other external interest they might have.

Resolution number RAI/2015/1 MOVED by Member Kilmister, seconded by Member Matheson: That the Rainbow Communities Advisory Panel: a) agree that the Rainbow Communities Advisory Panel have six-weekly publically open meetings on Monday’s at 5.30 pm for refreshments with a 6.00 pm start time. b) agree that the Rainbow Communities Advisory Panel meeting’s are open to members of the public from the third meeting onwards. |

Resolution number RAI/2015/2 MOVED by Member Kilmister, seconded by Member Matheson: That the Rainbow Communities Advisory Panel: a) agree that the work program be drafted by staff and consist of (where possible) the following: i) additional social spaces and hubs for rainbow communities ii) support for rainbow migrants (particularly Pacific and Asian migrants) iii) increase visibility and information in the community iv) compile a comprehensive list of all rainbow community organisations v) increased recognition for gender identity (i.e. Auckland Council forms, communications process and internal processes) vi) funding for mental health and suicide research vii) an event for the 30th anniversary of the homosexual law reform viii) increased rainbow youth participation in the community ix) youth homelessness and education x) research and support for minorities within the rainbow community xi) research including disaggregation of data xii) findings from the Community Development and Safety report on rainbow communities xiii) gender neutral bathrooms xiv) Auckland Council to qualify with the Rainbow tick. |
