report and note the progress of the programme for the hearing of submissions
by the Independent Hearings Panel on the Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan
b) request the
report and resolutions be forwarded to local boards, the Independent Maori
Statutory Board and advisory panels for their information.

That the Unitary
Plan Committee:
a) endorse the work programme set out in Attachment A to the
agenda report.
b) delegate
to the General Manager - Plans and Places, Unitary Plan Manager and the three
Area Planning Unit Managers, the authority to agree to changes
to precincts in the Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan where those changes are
consistent with the current objectives and policies in the Proposed Auckland
Unitary Plan.
c) request that the Unitary Plan Manager
reports the key changes agreed to under recommendation b) to the Unitary Plan
Committee in March/April 2016.

That the
Unitary Plan Committee:
a) exclude
the public from the following part(s) of the proceedings of this meeting.
b) agree
that Shona Myers, Consultant Ecologist and Martin Neal, Consultant be
permitted to remain for Confidential Item C1: Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan submissions - Council
position for mediation and hearings - Rural Urban Boundary - Okura/LongBay
after the public has been excluded, because of their knowledge of the
submission on the Rural Urban Boundary, Okura/Long Bay area, which will help
the Unitary Plan Committee in its decision-making.
The
general subject of each matter to be considered while the public is excluded,
the reason for passing this resolution in relation to each matter, and the
specific grounds under section 48(1) of the Local Government Official
Information and Meetings Act 1987 for the passing of this resolution follows.
This
resolution is made in reliance on section 48(1)(a) of the Local Government
Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 and the particular interest or interests
protected by section 6 or section 7 of that Act which would be prejudiced by
the holding of the whole or relevant part of the proceedings of the meeting
in public, as follows:
