4          Confirmation of Minutes

Resolution number WHSP/2016/1

MOVED by Chairperson S Zhu, seconded by Member SPT Matafai:

That the Whau Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee:

a) confirm the ordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Wednesday, 20 May 2015, including the confidential section, as a true and correct record.

Special Exemption (Section 6) Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987

Resolution number WHSP/2016/2 MOVED by Chairperson S Zhu, seconded by Member D Macdonald: That the Whau Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee: a)      grant the application for special exemption for 1/29 Craigbank Avenue, New Lynn from the requirement of the Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987, as per the application with the following conditions: i.        that NZS 8500-2006  clause (a – k) is met at all times ii.       that the spa pool be moved 1.2m away from any climbable object including the raised garden and the retaining wall iii.      that the cover straps are tightened to prevent  the cover lifting more than 100mm b)      note the confidential status of the attachments to this Item and confirm that they will remain confidential to maintain privacy of the applicants. CARRIED
