a) consider the LGNZ conference
and AGM 2016 report as extraordinary business at item 25. A decision

Fishery was in attendance to present to the Great Barrier Local Board in
respect to the Draft Voluntary Fishing Code of Conduct grant application
changes.

by Chairperson IM Fordham, seconded by Member CA Spence:
That the Great
Barrier Local Board:
a) rescind the grant allocation
of $10,500 from the Local Grants budget resolved at the 11 November 2015
business meeting (GBI/2015/161) and approve Local Grant funding of $4,000
towards the distribution and analysis of the proposed draft voluntary fishing
code for inshore waters of Great Barrier Island to the umbrella group Aotea
Family Support Group
b) delegate to the chair in
discussion with other board members to approve amendments to the amount
funded, if needed noting changes may be needed as further information is
received
c) thank Bill
Carlin from Supporters of Barrier Fishery for his presentation on the Draft
Voluntary Fishing Code of Conduct grant application changes.

GBI/2015/177 to approve funding from its discretionary opex budget for a
further community noticeboard for Shoal Bay wharf to be installed in

b) approve funding of $2,250
from its Local Improvement Project capital fund for a community
noticeboard for Shoal Bay wharf to be installed in consultation with Auckland
Transport

a) endorse Member
CA Spence’s attendance at the political decision making course to be held on
Monday 23 May 2016 in the Waipa District Council Chambers, Te Awamutu and
that the cost of $680 (excl GST) plus travel expenses be funded from the
elected member professional development budget.

and CA Spence to attend the Wild Places conference on 10-11 August 2016 on
the basis that the conference programme is relevant to the Local Board and
Environment Committee’s work programmes
b) confirm that the Wild Places
conference attendance including travel and accommodation will be paid for in
accordance with the current Auckland Council Elected Member Expense Policy
and from the Elected Members Professional Development budget 2015/16.
