Resolution number PKTSP/2016/9 MOVED by Chairperson NJ Turnbull, seconded by Deputy Chairperson DA Holm: That the Puketāpapa Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee confirm the ordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Wednesday, 19 November 2015, as a true and correct record. |

Special Exemption (Section 6) Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987 |

Resolution number PKTSP/2016/10 MOVED by Chairperson NJ Turnbull, seconded by Deputy Chairperson DA Holm: That the Puketāpapa Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee receive the application from Ferdinand M Pinto, 12 Milliken Avenue, Mt Roskill. a) That the Puketāpapa Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee deems that this application for special exemption under section 6 of the Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987 be GRANTED and that this exemption is personal to the owner of the property (Ferdinand M Pinto), so that on a sale of the property a new owner will need to apply for a new exemption. b) That the Puketāpapa Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee note that with regard to the particular characteristics of the property and the pool, the granting of an exemption does not significantly increase the danger to young children. c) That the Puketapapa Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee note that the structure being erected in the vicinity of the spa pool should not in any way be climbable. d) That the Puketāpapa Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee note that this exemption is subject to the spa being locked at all times when not in use. e) That the Puketāpapa Local Board Swimming Pool Fencing Exemptions Committee require the applicant to comply with the conditions of NZS 8500:2006 (3.10) (Attachment A).
