The Chairperson opened the meeting and welcomed those in attendance.
2 Apologies
Resolution number RD/2016/11 MOVED by Chairperson BM Steele, seconded by Deputy Chairperson SR Garner: That the Rodney Local Board: a) accept the apologies from Member McLean for absence.

Secretarial Note: Member Flaunty sent an apology in an email over the weekend to Local Board staff, however as this was an off-site meeting with an early start, the message was not picked up until the following day.

Point Wells - petition to reinstate the Point Wells Lullaby Swing |
|
Tracy Roe presented a petition for the reinstatement of the lullaby swing at Point Wells. She gave a PowerPoint presentation and tabled written information, a copy of which has been placed on the file copy of the minutes and can be viewed on the Auckland Council website. The petition was included in the agenda. |

Mark Hall and Pete Sinton from the Kumeu-Huapai Residents and Ratepayers Association tabled written documentation in regard to various matters relating to Kumeu-Huapai. A copy of the document has been placed on the file copy of the minutes and can be viewed on the Auckland Council website. |

Warwick Spicer of Omaha Beach Bowling Club gave a presentation on the history of the bowling club at Omaha. Mr Spicer said that the Omaha Beach Bowling Club would be making a grant application to the local board in regard to a retaining wall that needs to be built at the bowling club. |

Resolution number RD/2016/21 MOVED by Deputy Chairperson SR Garner, seconded by Member TP Grace: That the Rodney Local Board: a) recommends to the governing body that candidate names on voting documents should be arranged in alphabetical order of surname.

Resolution number RD/2016/22 MOVED by Chairperson BM Steele, seconded by Member JG Colville: That the Rodney Local Board: a) nominates Member Garner to be the local board’s representative to attend the Local Government New Zealand 2016 Annual General Meeting and Conference from Sunday 24 July 2016 to Tuesday 26 July 2016 on the basis that the conference programme is relevant to the Local Board’s work programme b) confirms that conference attendance including travel and accommodation will be paid for in accordance with the current Auckland Council Elected Member Expense Policy.
