Hibiscus and Bays Local Board Community Grants Programme 2016/2017

MOVED by Chairperson JG Parfitt, seconded by Member LM Whyte:  

That the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board:

a)     request that under the heading “Limitations” replace the first bullet point in the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board Community Grants Programme Guidelines 2016/2017 “Limitations” with the following: 

i)          Applicants are ineligible to apply for the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board Contestable Community Grant Fund if they have had two successful grant applications within the current financial year and must identify details of the rounds on which they have previously applied, including approved funded amounts.

Add the following bullet point:

ii)        One application could cover several events in the current financial year or more than one component of a project.

b)   delegate authority to the chairperson to make any minor edits to the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board Community Grants Programme Guidelines 2016/2017 to correct any identified errors or typographical edits.

Panuku Development Auckland Local Board Six-Monthly Update 1 July to 31 December 2015

 

Local board members expressed concern about the retrospective nature of this six monthly report which is meant to be an update, particularly as it refers to the disposal of the car park in Anzac Road, Browns Bay.

East Coast Bays Community Development Needs Assessment

That the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board:

a)     approve funding of $20,000 from the 2015/2016 LDI Opex Community Development budget to contract Point Research to carry out an assessment and analysis of community development needs in the East Coast Bays subdivision area.

b)         as the scope has already been established, the funding agreement deliverables and reporting mechanism will be negotiated between council staff and Point Research.

Appointment of Hearing Panel to hear submission on Auckland Council proposal to grant two community leases and a licence to occupy to Hibiscus Mens Shed Trust at Silverdale War Memorial Park

a)      that the deputy chairperson and local board member Gary Holmes, be appointed, with Member Sayers as chairperson, to hear the submission on Auckland Council’s proposal to grant two leases and a licence to occupy to Hibiscus Mens Shed Trust at Silverdale War Memorial Park in accordance with the provisions of section 120 of the Reserves Act 1977.

That the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board:

a)       receive the urgent decision to approve $3,000 from 2015/2016 “Local planning and development response fund” to fund Be. Accessible to provide an accessibility audit to inform the overall Browns Bay Centre Plan. 

b)       approve $1500 from 2015/2016 “Local Planning and Development Response Fund” to fund Be. Accessible to provide further assessment areas and these findings will then inform the draft Browns Bay Centre plan.
