Following the hearing of submissions, the committee commenced deliberations on those submissions to the Civil Defence and Emergency Management (CDEM) Group Plan 2016-2021 at 12.40pm.

The committee considered staff recommendations based on the submissions and requested that staff recommendations be included in the final draft of the CDEM Group Plan 2016–2021, for further discussion on 21 June 2016.  It was noted that at its December 2015 meeting, the committee delegated the Chair and Deputy Chair editorial accountability for minor amendments to the draft Auckland CDEM Group Plan 2016-2021, during the statutory consultation and Ministerial review phases.

The committee concluded its deliberations at 1.28pm.
