5	Update on Council's Waste Minimisation and Management Plan
	A PowerPoint presentation was provided. A copy has been placed on the official minutes and is available on the Auckland Council website as a minutes attachment.
	Resolution number YOU/2016/20 MOVED by Chairperson F Apulu, seconded by Member M Valgre: That the Youth Advisory Panel: a)      thank Parul Sood and Jenny Chilcott (Waste Solutions Department), for their presentation. b)      provide advice on how youth can be engaged with the Waste Management and Minimisation Plan changes. CARRIED

6	Update from Libraries - Intergenerational Engagement

	Resolution number YOU/2016/21 MOVED by Chairperson F Apulu, seconded by Member M Mafile'o: That the Youth Advisory Panel: a)      thank Morgan Borthwick, Libraries Adviser – Inclusiveness, for his youth-friendly presentation. b)      provide advice on how intergenerational engagement can be addressed in future. 7	Civil Defence and Emergency Management - Christchurch Visit Update
	Resolution number YOU/2016/22 MOVED by Chairperson F Apulu, seconded by Deputy Chairperson A Johnston: That the Youth Advisory Panel: a)      note the feedback from the Civil Defence and Emergency Management trip to Christchurch in December 2015. b)      establish a Civil Defence and Emergency Management working party to engage with staff on civil defence matters as they arise. Working Party and Sub-committee Updates

Resolution number YOU/2016/24 MOVED by Chairperson F Apulu, seconded by Member S Cox: That the Youth Advisory Panel: a)      thank the working party and sub-committee leads for their updates. b)      forward sub-committee and working party updates for the attention of respective local youth voice mechanisms. c)      appoint Member A Kapeli-Sua (lead) to the Civil Defence and Emergency Management Working Party. CARRIED

	Member G Halstead left the meeting at 8.25 pm.
