That the Heritage Advisory Panel:

a)         accept the apology from Members H Geary and R Hoskins for absence.

2          Declaration of Interest

 

Members are reminded of the need to be vigilant to stand aside from decision making when a conflict arises between their role as a member and any private or other external interest they might have.

 

There were no declarations of interest.

 

 

 

3          Confirmation of Minutes

MOVED by Chairperson ME Lee, seconded by Member A McEwan:  

That the Heritage Advisory Panel:

a)         confirm the ordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Tuesday, 10 May 2016 as a true and correct record.

4          Extraordinary Business

 

4.1

Freyberg Place Plaque

 

Chairperson ME Lee circulated an email received from Waitemata Local Board Chair Shale Chambers relating to the Freyberg Place plaque. A copy has been placed on the official minutes and is available on the Auckland Council website as a minute attachment.

 

The Panel agreed that the Chair take action to follow up this matter on behalf of the panel.

That the Heritage Advisory Panel:

a)        thank Tony Barnes and Rebecca Freeman and receive their report on the Scheduled Building and Places Monitoring Programme.

Resolution number HER/2016/21

MOVED by Member J Burns, seconded by Member S Reynolds:  

That the Heritage Advisory Panel:

a)         express its concern that a scheduled heritage building is being removed or demolished on a non-notified basis.

b)        request that the Chair writes a letter to the Chief Executive expressing its concern.

That the Heritage Advisory Panel:

a)      receive with thanks the presentation by Tipa Compain, Matt Felgate and Peter King of Auckland Transport in regard to the archeological survey relating to the AMETI project.
