That the
Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board Dog Access Hearing Panel:
a) in
relation to proposed changes to local dog access rules contained in the
document titled ‘Amendments to Auckland Council Policy on Dogs 2012
– Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board May 2016’ (Attachment A)
i) receive
the submissions in Attachment C - Submissions
ii) hear
the submitters who wish to be heard in support of their submission.

A copy of the Hearing panel decision
report on local dog access rules in the Ōtara Papatoetoe Local Board
area 2016, the Deliberation worksheet including
staff recommendations and the Puhinui Foreshore wildlife was tabled at the
meeting and has been placed on the official minutes and is available on the
Auckland Council website as a minute attachment.

MOVED by Member MA Gush, seconded by
Chairperson E Collins:
That the Ōtara-Papatoetoe
Local Board Dog Access Hearing Panel:
b)
adopt the decision report titled ‘Hearing panel decision
report on local dog access rules in the Ōtara Papatoetoe Local Board
area 2016. (Attachment A).
c)
adopt the amendments to the Auckland Council Policy on Dogs
2012 in Attachment A with a commencement date of 1 July 2017.
d)
delegate to the Manager Social Policy and Bylaws in
consultation with the panel chair to make any minor edits to (b) and (c) to
correct any identified errors or typographical edits.
e)
request the Governing Body to give effect to the decisions in (c)
by making any necessary amendments to the Auckland Council Policy on Dogs
2012 and Auckland Council Dog Management Bylaw 2012.
f)
thank the community and the submitters
for their submissions.
