The Chairperson
opened the meeting and welcomed those present.

3 Declaration of Interest
Members
were reminded of the need to be vigilant to stand aside from decision making
when a conflict arises between their role as a member and any private or other
external interest they might have.
Specifically
members are asked to identify any new interests they have not previously
disclosed, an interest that might be considered as a conflict of interest with
a matter on the agenda.
At its meeting on 28 November 2013, the
Waitakere Ranges Local Board resolved (resolution number WTK/2010/5) to record
any possible conflicts of interest in a register.

Linda
Jensen was in attendance and spoke about:

her concerns with respect to an unconsented
boarding house next door and the safety and noise issues she and neighbours
were experiencing. She was seeking guidance and support with respect to
understanding what the associated rules and regulations are for boarding
houses. She noted that the adjoining business was currently applying for limited
notification consent through Auckland Council.

a) allocate the 2016/17 financial year Waitākere Ranges Heritage
Area Act Programme budget as follows:
i) ‘Living in the Bush’ - information and advice guideline
- $8,500
ii) Local Board/community annual forum on implementation of
the Waitākere Ranges Heritage Area Act - $4,000
iii) Community Weed Bins – $90,000
iv) Safety assessments of Roads in Muddy Creeks and Bethells /
Te Henga Local Area Plan areas - $10,000
v) Weed Free Buffer Zone Project – $45,000
vi) Long Tailed Bat research/protection/recovery - $5,000
vii) Heritage Site Mapping – Field Work - $60,382
