Road Name Approval for the renaming of lower Khartoum Place, Auckland City Centre – revocation of previous decision |

Resolution number WTM/2016/143 MOVED by Chairperson S Chambers, seconded by Member RAH Thomas: That the Waitematā Local Board: a) agree pursuant to Standing Order 3.10.17 to revoke in part resolution WTM/2016/1; namely b) i) and ii) of Waitematā Local Board, adopted at its Ordinary meeting held on 12th July 2016 which states: That the Waitematā Local Board: i) pursuant to section 319(1)(j) of the Local Government Act 1974, renames the lower section of Khartoum Place as ‘Te Hā o Hine Suffrage Place’. ii) having given consideration to and having approved a new road name for the lower section of Khartoum Place, and pursuant to section 319(1)(j) of the Local Government Act 1974, approves the line of demarcation between Khartoum Place and Te Hā o Hine Suffrage Place as identified in red in the Attachment B visuals. iii) requests Auckland Transport to undertake a Rough Order Cost for the installation of a wayfinding plaque to be funded from the Local Board Transport Capital Fund for the re-named lower Khartoum Place and to be installed by Women’s Suffrage Day, 19 September 2016. iv) delegates within the remaining Local Board Transport Capital Fund budget any final decision on design concepts and content for the wayfinding plaque and final approval to the Board Chair and Deputy Chair.

Resolution number WTM/2016/144 MOVED by Deputy Chairperson PJ Coom, seconded by Chairperson S Chambers:
That the Waitematā Local Board: b) agree pursuant to Standing Order 3.10.17 to replace resolution WTM/2016/1 b) i) and ii), with the following resolution, noting that points iii) and iv) of WTM/2016/1 remain unchanged: That the Waitematā Local Board: i) pursuant to section 319(1)(j) of the Local Government Act 1974, renames the lower section of Khartoum Place as ‘Te Hā o Hine Place’. ii) having given consideration to and having approved a new road name for the lower section of Khartoum Place, and pursuant to section 319(1)(j) of the Local Government Act 1974, approves the line of demarcation between Khartoum Place and Te Hā o Hine Place as identified in red in the Attachment A visuals (Attachment B pictorials to the original report). A division was called for, voting on which was as follows:
