Resolution number HM/2016/104 MOVED by Member B Brady, seconded by Deputy Chairperson P Chan: That the Henderson-Massey Local Board: a) agrees indicative locally driven initiative allocations for 2017/2018 (Attachment A). b) Agrees the following key advocacy issues: · Strongly advocate for the Unlock Henderson Project as presented by Panuku Auckland Development. · A regional community safety budget which can be locally tailored. · Better growth planning of the open space network in greenfield areas and a swimming pool for the north-west. · Support the use of the terms local councillor and regional councillor and clarification of the distinct roles of the governing body and local boards under the legislated co-governance model. c) recommends business improvement district targeted rates for consultation for the proposed Henderson-Lincoln Business Improvement District. d) adopts local content for consultation (Attachment B), amending the second bullet point on page 18 to read “supporting Henderson Riding for the Disabled to progress its vision of finding a home where it can expand and develop facilities for year round services. e) agrees that the chairperson be delegated the authority to make any final minor changes to local consultation content for the Annual Budget 2017/2018 prior to publication, including online consultation content. |

Resolution number HM/2016/105 MOVED by Member B Brady, seconded by Member W Flaunty: That the Henderson-Massey Local Board: a) Nominates member Peter Chan to attend the Making Good Decisions - Foundation Course 2017 at a cost of $2,503.04 plus GST each and available in Auckland 1-2 March 2017. b) Nominates members Warren Flaunty, Shane Henderson and Brenda Brady to attend the Making Good Decisions - Panel Recertification 2017 at a cost of $1,092.17 plus GST and available in Auckland 29 March 2017. c) Has an expectation should a member not complete the course that they would return to Council any course fees incurred. |
