Resolution number HB/2017/3 MOVED by Chairperson J Parfitt, seconded by Deputy Chairperson J Fitzgerald: That the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board: a) authorise council staff to negotiate and enter into a funding agreement with Netball North Harbour Incorporated for a grant of up to $50,000 from the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board Locally Driven Initiatives Operating Local Parks, Sport and Recreation budget toward the costs associated with a roof renewal for the Netball North Harbour facility. b) advise that this grant of up to $50,000 is conditional upon Netball North Harbour Incorporated obtaining full funding for the roof renewal project c) request that Netball North Harbour Incorporated acknowledge all the local boards who have contributed funding to complete the roof renewal project for the Netball North Harbour facility.
Pursuant to standing order 3.15.5 Member Cooper requested his abstaining vote be recorded. |

Mr McGregor and other residents of Beauvoir Avenue, Matakatia, were in attendance to discuss the problem of bee excrement affecting their properties in this area. There is a large amount of manuka growing in the area and 16 properties within a 3 km radium of Beauvoir Avenue have hives. Councillor Watson suggested the matter be brought before the Regulatory Committee and he is to discuss this with senior staff. |

Daphne McKerras, Ttrustee of the Family Centre Trust, Vivienne Watkins from Stepsforward, Steering Committee member, Carol Laidlaw, Steering Committee Chairperson and Belinda Greenwood, Trustee of the Family Centre Trust were in attendance to discuss a proposal to build a family centre on the area of land between the Whangaparaoa Library and the Whangaparaoa Hall. |
