A minute silence was observed for the victims of the terror attack in Manchester that killed 22 innocent people, many of whom were children, and those seriously injured.

a)         accept the apologies from Deputy Mayor B Cashmore and Mayor P Goff for absence on council business, Cr D Quax and Cr J Walker for absence and Cr E Collins for lateness.

Submission to the Technical Advisory Group

MOVED by Cr R Hills, seconded by IMSB Member D Kirkwood:  

That the Civil Defence and Emergency Management Group Committee:

a)      note the establishment of the Technical Advisory Group by the Minister of Civil Defence

b)      delegate authority to the Chair and Deputy Chair of the committee, and Auckland Council Chief Executive, to finalise and approve the Civil Defence and Emergency Management Group Committee’s submission to the Technical Advisory Group.
