Ms. Lovich-Howitt spoke to the board on problem gambling in the Henderson-Massey local board area. She requested for opportunities to offer help to victims in the local board area by speaking at the local board’s events. |

Resolution number HM/2017/75 MOVED by Member V Neeson, seconded by Member B Brady: That the Henderson-Massey Local Board: a) approve the 2017/2018 Arts, Community and Events work programme (Attachment A). b) agree to entering into a 3-year funding agreement with West Auckland Pasifika Forum for the delivery of the Tula’i Youth Leadership programme. c) note that Tula’i is a youth development programme delivered by West Auckland Pasifika Forum (WAPF). That it has been successfully run and supported by Waitakere Ranges, Henderson-Massey, and Whau local boards over the past three years and has operated under an annual agreement. The programme delivers quality outcomes and the Henderson-Massey Local Board seeks to recognise this success through entering into a longer term funding agreement so that WAPF can plan long-term and continue to build their sustainability. d) Acknowledges Council staff Betty MacLaren for the excellent work she has done on the 17/18 ACE work programme. |
