1 Welcome
Chairperson Mulholland opened the meeting and welcomed everyone present.
2 Apologies

3 Declaration of Interest
Members are reminded of the need to be vigilant to stand aside from decision making when a conflict arises between their role as a member and any private or other external interest they might have.
Specifically members are asked to identify any new interests they have not previously disclosed, an interest that might be considered as a conflict of interest with a matter on the agenda.

Resolution number WH/2017/51 MOVED by Member D Macdonald, seconded by Deputy Chairperson S Zhu: That the Whau Local Board: a) receive the report for the third quarter ending 31 March 2017 from Regional Facilities Auckland. b) note the community and family benefits of making the Zoo more accessible for older adults and requests that the RFA consider Gold Card holders to be offered a special concession charge for Auckland Zoo especially at off-peak times.

Parks, sport and recreation draft annual work programme financial year 2017-2018 |

Resolution number WH/2017/52 MOVED by Member T Matafai, seconded by Member D Battersby: That the Whau Local Board: a) approve the Whau Parks, Sport and Recreation Annual work programme 2017-2018 financial year as detailed in Attachment A to this report. b) delegate the approval for any changes to the Parks, Sport and Recreation Annual work programme 2017-2018 to the appropriate PSR Portfolio Manager and delegated local board members or portfolio holders.

Resolution number WH/2017/54 MOVED by Member D Macdonald, seconded by Member C Farmer: That the Whau Local Board: a) adopt the recommended tohu design as indicated on Attachment A to this report as a symbol to be used to promote Te Auaunga (Oakley Creek). b) endorse the use of the tohu as a design feature to be used in conjunction with the Auckland Council brand in future place-making and way-finding projects along Te Auaunga (Oakley Creek).

Resolution number WH/2017/55 MOVED by Member D Macdonald, seconded by Member T Matafai: That the Whau Local Board: a) allocate $10,000 from the 2016/17 Community Response Fund, to support the operations of the Whau Coastal Walkway and Environmental Trust.
b) allocate $2,500 from the 2016/17 Community Response Fund to support the Kelston Community Hub for further planning and coordination of the residential flooding response. |
