His Worship the Mayor read the affirmation and expressed the
Governing Body’s condolences to Cr Linda Cooper and Cr Greg Sayers on the
recent passing of their fathers Graham Sanderson and Alan Sayers. The
meeting observed a minutes silence in remembrance of both men.
Cr J Watson gave a verbal tribute to Alan Sayers.

Whether to propose an Easter Sunday Trading Policy

from First Union. A copy has been placed on the official minutes.
Petition Prayer:
“We the undersigned
urge Auckland Council to please keep Easter Sunday a non-trading day so that
shop and bank workers have a real right to have time off with their families
at Easter.”

was incorporated with the agreement of the meeting.

Heritage to the Tūpuna Maunga o Tāmaki Makaurau Authority for a
term of three years with the ability for this representative to be
re-appointed for an additional three years
b) note that if no agreement is given, an appointment will not be
made and the existing non-voting position on the Tūpuna Maunga o
Tāmaki Makaurau Authority would lapse. The Minister could nominate an
alternative person at a later date.
