Resolution number MHFJC/2017/10 MOVED by Member J Allan, seconded by Deputy Chairperson D Holm: That the Manukau Harbour Forum: a) confirm the ordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Friday, 16 June 2017, as a true and correct record with the addition of attendance from alternate member Julie Fairey. |

Resolution number MHFJC/2017/11 MOVED by Member A Cole, seconded by Member J Allan: That the Manukau Harbour Forum: a) approve the 2017/2018 Manukau Harbour Forum work programme as noted in the table below:
b) note that funding for this work programme was approved by member boards through their annual environment work programmes. c) request a report on marine sustainability education programmes focused on secondary level students. d) strongly advocate for increasing regional resources to monitor activities that may affect health of the harbour and enforce compliance. e) note the importance of use of up to date data including land-use data for Hydrodynamic Modelling. f) request a scoping report on funding Sea Week or other harbour clean-up initiatives/activities by community groups. Governance Framework Review Advocacy: g) welcome the Governance Framework Review acknowledging the strong regional significance of the establishment of the Manukau Harbour Forum and that this is an environmental response that more appropriately reflect the sphere of impact. h) request the Governance Framework Review to investigate mechanisms that support the operations and governance roles of the Manukau Harbour Forum.

Resolution number MHFJC/2017/12 MOVED by Deputy Chairperson D Holm, seconded by Member A Cole: That the Manukau Harbour Forum: a) agree to the meeting schedule outlined below for the 2016/2019 electoral term.
b) agree to commence business meetings at 12.00pm. Public forum and deputations will be scheduled in the early part of the business meeting, to enable the democratic process.
