That the Kaipātiki Local Board:

a)         confirm the ordinary minutes of its meeting, held on Wednesday, 23 August 2017, as a true and correct record.

Shepherds Park Squash Club

 

Paul Cornish of the Shepherds Park Squash Club was in attendance to address the board regarding Shepherds Park Squash Club.

A powerpoint presentation was provided. A copy has been placed on the official minutes and is available on the Auckland Council website as a minutes attachment.

 

Resolution number KAI/2017/52

MOVED by Chairperson D Grant, seconded by Deputy Chairperson J Gillon:  

That the Kaipātiki Local Board:

a)      receive the deputation from the Shepherds Park Squash Club.

b)      thank Paul Cornish and the Shepherds Park Squash Club for their attendance and presentation.

c)      request officers provide an update on building maintenance of the Beach Haven Leisure Centre, any current or potential lease or license arrangements providing security of tenure, and council support for the sports operating out of the centre.

Johnny Burjony and Bassam Rassam of the Babylon Charitable Trust were in attendance to address the board regarding the Babylon Charitable Trust.

Peter Wolf of the Kaipatiki Youth Development Trust was in attendance to address the board regarding the Kaipatiki Youth Development Trust.

Kaipātiki Local Youth Board update

 

Denzil Whitcombe of the Kaipātiki Local Youth Board was in attendance to address the Kaipātiki Local Board regarding the activities of the Youth Board.

That the Kaipātiki Local Board:

a)         receive the Kaipātiki Local Youth Board update.

b)        commends the Kaipātiki Local Youth Board on their latest initiative to engage with the Waitemata District Health Board to provide a youth perspective on health services.
