·         Thank you from the Mangere Community for Pepe Mona funeral and the offers for financial support from the community were outstanding. Thank you to Member Tauanu’u Nick Bakulich and the MP for Mangere Aupito William Sio as we worked together for the funeral arrangements for the burial of Pepe Mona, and thank them for their support.

·         The Chair thanked the Board Members for their continued work with the community particularly in the time of the General Election.

·         Invitations were sent to Member Bakulich from the Manukau AFC Massey Park and the Manukau Rovers Club.

·         Kiwi Ferns named for the upcoming Rugby League World Cup, including Mangere residents & former Otahuhu College students: Aieshaleigh Smalley – Otahuhu Rugby League Club and Maitua Feterika.

·         Pacific Language Week – Tokelau, Fiji & Niue (October).

·         Pacific Challenge Netball Cup.

·         Niue Rugby League had a successful tournament (U/6’s up to Premier men).

·         Yates Road Park Community Event – Mangere Crime patrol vehicle presented by Sponsors.

a)      note the findings of the Ōtāhuhu Community Needs Assessment & Options Analysis (2017).

b)      endorse Panuku proceeding with the assessment of feasibility for the optimisation of council assets, based upon the findings of the needs assessment.

c)      request Council officers to pursue Option 3 as noted in the Ōtāhuhu Community Needs Assessment & Options Analysis (2017):

·         Develop a purpose built community facility (at a site to be determined), with the opportunity to accommodate additional activities and services to deliver an integrated service and improve flexibility for shared use, and investigate opportunities for improved services at other Council-owned sites.

a)      approve the continued use of Moyle park 48 Bader Drive, Mangere by Vodafone New Zealand Limited for underground telecommunications equipment.

b)      delegate Panuku Development Auckland Limited to negotiate a new licence to Vodafone New Zealand Limited on Auckland Council’s standard non-road side telecommunications licence terms and conditions for an initial term of six years from 1 February 2018, with two rights of renewal of six years.

c)      request a report on the distribution of revenue from licence agreements of this kind, including distribution to the local board.
